Topic: Exits, Monetizations and New Media: Time to buy, sell or move on?
Facebook, Hulu, WoW, Twitter, digital media, social networking, apps, streaming video can anybody make money? In this market can anyone raise money? Are eyeballs and a little internet advertising all you need for success? But if you can’t raise money, and investors can’t make money, how long will the New Media, be “New?” Learn from a seasoned serial new media entrepreneur and investor.
Keynote: Allan Grafman, President/CEO of All Media Ventures, and an Operating Partner/Principal at Mercury Capital Partners, a private equity firm investing in media companies.
Allan Grafman is Chairman of the Board of Majesco Entertainment (Nasdaq:COOL), a video game producer and distributor. He also serves several Boards of Directors including Big Tent and Pixfusion. Allan is a published author (Licensing Book, Inventors Digest) and frequent contributor on MSNBC “Your Business.” He is also a member of the ISS/Risk Metrics Corporate Governance Advisory Board.
Previous roles include President of Archie Comics Entertainment, President/CEO of Modelwire, EVP/CFO of Hallmark Entertainment, VP/Managing Director of Tribune Company, and VP/GM of Capital Cities Cable. He began his media career as an on-air announcer and ad sales representative for KSHE Radio and Century Broadcasting in St. Louis. Allan received his BA from Indiana University (Phi Beta Kappa) Russian Literature, his Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University (International Fellow), and his MBA from Columbia University (Beta Gamma Sigma) Finance.
