Robert Nay to Speak at UVEF Luncheon

Robert Nay is a 14-year-old 8th grader who has enjoyed working with computers for years.  He created his first published website in third grade when his teacher asked him to make one for her class.  Since then he has continued working with HTML and has also learned Ajax, PHP, and Javascript.

With five years of web programming behind him, last summer he turned his interest to making iPhone apps.

After experimenting with different types of software to help him write games he settled on the Corona SDK.   In his spare time he coded his first complete game which was released on the Apple App Store on Dec. 29.  It has been downloaded more than 7.5 million times since then.

Bubble Ball” spent 12 consecutive days as #1 on the Free App chart in the US.  At some point it has been #1 in 63 of the 85 world app stores it is available in.  In February Robert released an update with 16 more free levels and an in-app purchase pack of 24 additional levels.  He plans to release more levels later in March.

Robert is not all computers.  He gets good grades in all his classes and participates in extracurricular activities. He plays three musical instruments. In January he took 2nd place in his school spelling bee and in February he received two medals at the regional Science Olympiad competition.

He is excited about his entrance in the business world and looks forward to speaking with the UVEF on March 10.
